On New Year's Day my buddies and I went to a local karting place in Raleigh. I posted the video from the last time here in December. They had a matinee special, races for $11, and members get the 4th free if they purchase 3 races. Naturally, that's what we did. I brought my Go Pro once again and mounted it on the fairing to my left since I don't have my own helmet. I'm saving up to buy an SA-rated helmet I can also use in our ChumpCar Jetta.
Here are the races with highlight times if you don't want to bother with the whole thing. Race 2 was pretty much exciting from start to finish, so if you only watch one, watch that one. And watch in HD for the best experience.
I set the fastest lap in races 2, 3, and 4. Also a PB in race 3.
Race 1

- Last lap. I've caught Joel again and we race hard.

- The marshal runs across the track. A kid went headfirst into the wall and his helmet flew off. He looked like he was hurt but he put his helmet back on and kept on driving.

- I was pretty sure this guy was going to slam me into the wall at the start/finish line. He does a great job of blocking the rest of the race.

Suction cup mount? How do those work on gokarts?

I feel like I can lift the kart with it. The suction cup mount is STRONG, but as demonstrated by the beginning of the second video, you need to have a clean, mostly flat surface and a clean suction cup. In that instance the surface was too curved and both the cup and kart were dirty as hell.

Awesome. Will be going next week. Will definitely carry the gopro along :)
